Expert review of a new or existing policy

A comprehensive policy detailing how to respond to sexual assault is part of providing a safe working environment. Forensic Training Services can work with OHS and/or HR to develop an individualised policy for a safe and trauma-informed response to sexual assault.

Preparation of Company Procedures

Forensic Training Services will consult with companies to ensure a workplace has thorough and robust procedures for responding to a sexual assault based on trauma-informed care and forensic standards including but not limited to:

· Initial forensic response post disclosure of sexual assault

· Providing trauma informed care

· Confidentiality

· Forensic, medical and psychological care for victim

· Transport of any forensic evidence including maintaining chain of evidence

· Transporting victim off site

· Referral for full forensic examination

· Reporting obligations with police and the Department of Energy Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS)

· Recognition and management of vicarious trauma

· Debriefing for medics / staff involved

· Post implementation review

Forensic Training Services will work with sites to develop bespoke procedures that are practical, precise, user friendly and address current regulations and responsibilities.

Implementation of procedures

Forensic Training Services can provide guidance and supervision of what is required to implement the use of what is required to collect early forensic evidence and minimise uncertainty and risk of error. Sessions can begin on-line but will, in most cases, require a site visit. Can be combined with other on-site services.
